Brooks Awarded for Lifetime Achievement

Randy Brooks has been honored posthumously by the Alabama Criminal Defense Lawyers Association with its highest distinction, the Roderick Beddow, Sr. award for Lifetime Achievement in the profession of criminal defense.

The award was presented on May 3, 2013, at ACDLA’s annual meeting in Panama City, Florida. Accepting the hand-painted award on Randy’s behalf were his wife, Patsy Brooks, and law partners Dave Johnston and Tom Harmon. Johnston and Anniston attorney Bill Broome delivered tributes to Randy, recalling his devotion to the practice of law, his unparalleled knowledge of case law, and his zealous defense of his clients.

The tribute is named in honor of the late Roderick Beddow, Sr., an accomplished and admired attorney who was known as the “Perry Mason” of Birmingham for his honesty, tenacity, and success.
